Colors can mean such huge psychological impact in festivals, funerals, weddings, a child’s learning or Rorschach tests. Fun fact: Brides in India majorly wear red because red color symbolizes fertility in many cultures. Colors can affect our moods and inspire us. Certain colors become very essence of us, for many black it is. Black is calming and powerful to me, it boosts my mood and confidence. Although scientifically speaking black and white are not colors. I am sensing this write up might connect better with females. And specially the females who instantly feel super confident by sliding into their favorite heels, or putting on their sassy red lipstick.

Here I’ll provide a perspective on how you can arrange your wardrobe balancing bold and bright with neutral and classic. Because as they say “ you are what you eat” I’d like to say “I am what I wear”; be it well-patterned, minimal or chic, western or traditional, the most important element is color to me and probably to most.

Coming from tropical regions our advantages are we can always use fresh light colors in most seasons. I somehow feel light/pale colors are defining purity in nature, white I hold pious of all. Pale hazy petal colors combined with exotic pinks and herbal greens to create positivity and happiness from nature.

Another intoxicating palette being vibrant yellows, sweet lavenders, fragrant pinks combined with cooler greens to create a dynamic contrast with a crisp aqua. Also creamy white adds freshness instantly in an ensemble. Goes exceedingly well in traditional wear, because I am a pure lover of traditional clothing. To me, nothing really beats the grace of good old tailor-made salwar-kameez and dupattas are love, I highly value colors of my traditional suits and its contrasting or monotonous dupattey or stoles, it complements one’s complexion, creates an aura, reflect on mood. So shopping or upcycling salwar-kameez for me is a religious experience.

A power surge combination would include empowering pinks/reds. Infuses glamour to a story of vivid monotony, great for evening wear, casual meet formals, business meets formals. Time to look into wardrobe and turn it around, I’ve inspired myself and that is rare. Hope I’ve dropped tinge of inspiration to readers as well. Also, upcycling and recycling will give you inner joy, try it!
